Donald Trump continued his battle with the NFL on Sunday and is now openly suggesting fans boycott the sport.
The president sent the following tweets on Sunday morning before the bulk of Week 3’s games were played:
If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!

The irony is that Trump is saying those who are offended by the protests of players should respond by protesting. So clearly he believes in using protests to voice one’s opinion and be heard, but he only takes offense if a protest goes one way and is offensive to him. The same can be said with fans who boycott the NFL because they don’t like the national anthem protests.
