Giants GM shoots down Odell Beckham trade rumors
The New York Giants signed Odell Beckham Jr. to a massive contract extension prior to the season, but that has not put an end to questions about whether or not the star wide receiver will be with the team long-term. It seems like those questions have now been answered.
Giants general manager Dave Gettleman was asked on Wednesday if he expects Beckham to be with the team in 2019, and he made it clear OBJ is not on the trade block.
Giants GM Dave Gettleman on Odell Beckham: "We didn't sign him to trade him."
Asked if that means Beckham will be here in 2019: "You heard what I said."

Beckham’s season ended with an injury for the second straight year after he hurt his quad, but he managed to rack up 1,052 receiving yards in just 12 games. The questions about him potentially being traded first popped up when he was openly critical of New York’s coaching and quarterback play a few months back. Despite that, the team remains committed to him.
For what it’s worth, Gettleman was far less convincing when asked if Eli Manning will be with the Giants next season.
