Jadeveon Clowney checked for head injury

Jadeveon Clowney exited Saturday’s AFC wild-card playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts to be checked for a head injury.

The Houston Texans star defender seemed to be hit in the head by a teammate while they were tackling Marlon Mack on a running play in the second quarter. Clowney went into the medical tent on the sideline, and ESPN reported that he was being checked for a head injury.

Clowney was later seen coming out of the tent and holding his helmet on the sidelines. Later in the same drive, Justin Reid also got hurt, marking the second Texans player hurt on the drive.

The Colts wound up scoring a touchdown on the possession to increase their lead to 21-0.
