Tyreek Hill’s time with the Miami Dolphins has come to an end after four seasons.
On Monday, the Dolphins decided to release Hill, which means he will be a free agent for the first time in his NFL career.
Later on Monday afternoon, Hill took to Instagram with an emotional farewell message to Miami and the fans.
“From the bottom of my heart, Thank You To the entire @miamidolphins organization, my teammates, the staff, and most importantly Fins Nation, for an unforgettable 4 years,” Hill wrote.
“From the moment I landed in Miami, I felt the Love. You believed in me. You pushed me. You celebrated with me. These past few years have been some of the most meaningful of my life and career.”
The Dolphins then responded with a video of their own, saying, “Thank you for the memories, Tyreek.”

The Dolphins releasing Hill saves them $22.8 million. Hill has been out since September after suffering a dislocated knee and a torn ACL in a gruesome injury.
Unsurprisingly, Hill expects to play again, although his 2026 season might be in jeopardy depending on the recovery process.
“So to everyone wondering what’s next… just wait on it. The Cheetah will be back…Born Again,” Hill wrote at the end of the Instagram post.
So far, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler named the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers as two teams who could make sense for Hill.
Hill was with Kansas City his entire career before being traded to Miami in 2022. And, former Dolphins coach Mike McDaniels is the OC with the Chargers.
Hill has eight Pro Bowl trips and a Super Bowl ring, and while he turns 31 years old in March, he should find another team.
