The Steelers listed Conner as out on the Week 16 injury report, ensuring that he will miss his third straight game with an ankle sprain.

This does not come as a surprise, especially in the context of Conner’s comments earlier in the week. It certainly won’t help the Steelers much, but they’ve proven they can win without him. They beat the New England Patriots last week without Conner’s assistance, as backup Jaylen Samuels stepped in to run for 142 yards. Pittsburgh will be hoping for a similar contribution this week.
