Watch: Keenan Allen burns Stephon Gilmore with fake for 43-yard TD
The Los Angeles Chargers fell into an early 7-0 hole against the New England Patriots on Sunday, but Philip Rivers and Keenan Allen quickly got them out of it.
After the Patriots chewed up half of the first quarter with a methodical touchdown drive, the Chargers responded with a 43-yard touchdown from Rivers to Allen. The score was made possible with a fantastic double-move from Allen, who completely fooled Patriots All-Pro cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

It’s possible Gilmore was supposed to cover the inside move and safety Devin McCourty should have helped over the top, but either way Bill Belichick won’t be pleased with the result. Here’s another look that shows how hard Gilmore bit on the fake:
Beautiful how @Chargers schemed up that bomb to @Keenan13Allen They knew Gilmore would drive on the dig route when he @TyrellWilliams_ run a drag across the field. That’s how you scheme teams up in the playoffs! #Chargers pic.twitter.com/EG5XQlFDfk

The Patriots can’t allow many more of those.
