Why was Drew Rosenhaus so adamant on Twitter Tuesday that a trade of his client LeSean McCoy to the Buffalo Bills was not finalized? Perhaps because McCoy is not happy about the deal.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reported that “McCoy is not going to be a happy camper about this trade” and that the Bills would have some bridge building to do. La Canfora also says McCoy and Rosenhaus will make noise about wanting a new contract and potentially holding out to get one.

Eagles beat reporter Jeff McLane reports the same thing and says the Bills might have to step up financially to woo McCoy:

McCoy signed a new contract in 2012 that pays him $9.75 million in 2015, $6.9 million in 2016, and $7.6 million the year after that. That is pretty good money for a running back but maybe not quite enough for what they want.
McCoy will be 27 this season and has already played six years in the NFL. He knows this will probably be his last time to make good money, so he’s looking to capitalize. We’re guessing the trade goes through regardless of what Rosenhaus says and that the Bills won’t have to do much more financially for McCoy.
Side note: It’s nice to see McCoy and Rosenhaus working hand-in-hand again after the running back fired his agent two times in the past!
