Lions rookie RB Kerryon Johnson to undergo MRI on knee
Detroit Lions rookie running back Kerryon Johnson will undergo an MRI on his knee Monday, but things sound positive about his situation for now.
NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport says the early word is Johnson has a sprain and not an ACL tear.

Johnson got hurt at the end of the third quarter of the team’s 20-19 win over Carolina on Sunday. He was tackled on a run and came up limping afterwards.
Johnson had 15 carries for 87 yards and a touchdown in the game. He entered the contest averaging 5.4 yards per carry. Detroit recently cut Ameer Abdullah, leaving LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick as the team’s other options at running back.
