Marc Trestman a candidate for Raiders offensive coordinator
Marc Trestman is a candidate for the Oakland Raiders offensive coordinator position, according to reports.
Trestman, who was fired after two disappointing seasons as head coach of the Chicago Bears, is slated to interview with the Raiders in the coming days, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora says Trestman is viewed as a “viable candidate” for the job.
Trestman has some ties to the organization. He served as quarterbacks coach in 2001 under Jon Gruden and then was the team’s offensive coordinator the next two seasons.
Trestman failed as a head coach with the Bears, but he still should do well as strictly an offensive coordinator.
