Mark Sanchez, Santonio Holmes booed at Knicks game

Sitting front and center together at the Knicks-Clippers game Wednesday night were everyone’s favorite dysfunctional quarterback and receiver duo Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes. An alleged rift between the two at the end of the season was widely reported, but both players have been working on their relationship. First came the box of chocolates. The next logical step was a bro date.

But what was probably meant to be a bonding experience wasn’t received so warmly by the Madison Square Garden crowd. Both Jets were greeted with a chorus of boos when they were shown on the video screen. Must have been a Giants crowd in attendance.

Where was Tim Tebow, you might ask? His location couldn’t be confirmed, but MSG Network’s Alan Hahn had a wonderful theory:

Sanchez and Santonio sitting together court side. Meanwhile, Tim Tebow in the locker room healing Jeremy Lin’s knee as we speak.

Sanchez and Holmes laughed off the crowd’s reaction. Holmes even added a wave to the crowd. This wasn’t the first time a Jets player was welcomed by boos at an NYC sporting event. You may remember Tebow was a victim of some boo birds when he was seen at the Yankees game a few weeks back.

I’m starting to think this city hates the Jets.
