Michael Oher has a court matter to deal with as he has been accused of assaulting an Uber driver, according to a report.
WSOC-TV says Oher has been accused of assaulting an Uber driver in Nashville, Tenn., on April 14.
The two were headed to downtown Nashville and apparently had an issue. Per WSOC, “the driver said he put his hand on Oher’s face and then Oher knocked him to the ground.”
Oher has been cited for misdemeanor assault.
“We are aware an incident occurred involving Michael,” the Carolina Panthers said in a statement. “We have no further comment at this time.”
Oher has been with the Panthers since 2015 but only played in three games last season due to concussion issues. He still has not been cleared to play from the league’s concussion protocol.
