NFL reaches decision in Brandon McManus sexual assault investigation
The NFL has concluded its investigation into the sexual assault allegations against Brandon McManus, and the former Jacksonville Jaguars kicker will not face any discipline from the league.
NFL investigators determined that there was insufficient evidence against McManus to support a finding that he violated the league’s personal conduct policy, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. As a result, the veteran has been cleared and is free to sign with any team.

Two women filed a sexual assault lawsuit against McManus and the Jaguars back in May. The women, who are flight attendants, accused McManus of trying to kiss and grind against them while meals were being served during the Jaguars’ flight to London in 2023. You can read more details of the allegations here.
Earlier this month, a circuit court judge in Florida dismissed the lawsuit on the grounds that the two female plaintiffs in the case did not use their real names in the court filing. Under Florida law, plaintiffs need to meet “exceptional case” criteria in order to warrant party anonymity, and the judge ruled that those criteria were not met.
The two women filed an amended complaint days later.
McManus, a 10-year veteran, converted 30/37 of his field goal attempts with the Jaguars last year. He signed with the Washington Commanders in free agency but was cut shortly after the lawsuit was filed. McManus has vehemently denied the allegations against him.
McManus was with the Denver Broncos from 2014-2022. He won Super Bowl 50 with the team in 2015.
