The NFL will host regular-season games in Ireland and Spain for the first time in 2025, and we now know which teams will be making the trip across the Atlantic Ocean for those contests.

On Tuesday, the NFL announced that the Pittsburgh Steelers will serve as the home team and face the Minnesota Vikings on Sept. 28 at Croke Park in Dublin, Ireland.

The Miami Dolphins will be the home team and the Washington Commanders will be the visitor when the two teams play each other on Nov. 16 at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in Madrid, Spain.

In total, there will be a record seven international regular-season games in 2025.

The NCAA has had success in recent years hosting college football games in Dublin. Nobody had a better time than ESPN’s Pat McAfee when Florida State and Georgia Tech kicked off their respective seasons with a game in Ireland last year.

The Rooney family, which owns the Steelers, has deep connections to Ireland. Pittsburgh played an exhibition game at Croke Park in 1997 against the Chicago Bears. Late Steelers president Dan Rooney served as an ambassador to Ireland when Barack Obama was president of the United States.
