Report: Packers want Eddie Lacy to lose 30 pounds
It’s no secret that the Packers want Eddie Lacy to drop weight. Now we know how much.
Green Bay wants their running back to lose 30 pounds this offseason, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Key part of #Packers plan to return to dominance: GB wants Eddie Lacy to lose 30 pounds. He's committed to it, thru camp or fitness program

Lacy had a nightmare of a season for Green Bay in 2015, as he struggled and the team lost faith in him. He tallied just 758 yards and three touchdowns on 187 carries, all of which were career low marks over his three NFL seasons. It almost certainly didn’t help that he was playing at a weight that may well be in the 250 pound range, and that, along with some off-field issues, was a big reason that he fell out of favor with Green Bay so quickly after two excellent seasons.
Coach Mike McCarthy said recently that Lacy simply couldn’t play at his current weight, and the running back has even reportedly been in contact with the man behind P90X to get himself in shape. He may have to if he wants to salvage his Packers career.
