It’s safe to say things are a bit different in Carolina with new Panthers owner David Tepper.
Tepper, who finalized his purchase of the franchise last month, was spotted tailgating with fans ahead of Thursday night’s preseason home opener against the Miami Dolphins.

That’s one way to make an impression on fans. He has experience as a nine-year minority owner of the Pittsburgh Steelers, so maybe he had it in his head that he wanted to be among the people now that he’s the majority owner of his own team.
Tepper being visible and friendly can’t hurt from a PR perspective either, especially after the allegations that forced his predecessor to sell the team came to light.
