Panthers reportedly trade Daryl Worley to Eagles for Torrey Smith
The Philadelphia Eagles could not have asked for a better result in 2017, but they did let up a whopping 33 points in their Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots. Perhaps that is why they are making so many moves to improve their defense.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Eagles have traded wide receiver Torrey Smith to the Carolina Panthers in exchange for third-year defensive back Daryl Worley.

Worley, a third-round draft pick out of West Virginia in 2016, should provide the Eagles with solid depth at cornerback and a possible starting option. Philadelphia also acquired defensive end Michael Bennett in a trade earlier in the week.
On the other side, Smith never really panned out in his first and only season with the Eagles. The Panthers are reportedly looking to revamp their wide receiver corps this offseason, so the 29-year-old should give Cam Newton an excellent deep threat.
