Patrick Mahomes has not banned his brother and fiancee from attending Kansas City Chiefs games next season, and the star quarterback’s family seems fed up with all the rumors.
Former NFL offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, who is now a radio host, tweeted on Friday that he heard Mahomes had a talk with his fiancee and brother about not attending games in 2022 due to the negative attention they attract. Mahomes responded to the rumor and said people are “making stuff up these days.” His fiancee, Brittany Matthews, also reacted on social media.
Ohrnberger has since deleted the tweet, which would seemingly suggest that his information was bad or he totally made it up to begin with. Barstool Sports was among the outlets that wrote about the rumor, and Mahomes’ mother Randi took aim at them and others.

Matthews has drawn criticism for her overenthusiastic celebrations. Mahomes’ young brother, Jackson, has generated negative headlines with some of his disrespectful antics. We could see Patrick telling his family to tone it down, but it never made sense that he would ban them from games.
Like the rest of the Mahomes family, Randi has always been outspoken in supporting her son. She even rallied for a major NFL rule change last season on his behalf.
