Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay will have a long offseason of recovery after wrist surgery.
Lindsay suffered a wrist injury Monday against the Oakland Raiders. A scaphoid fracture and ligament damage required surgery, and according to Broncos coach Vance Joseph, that will mean a 3-4 month recovery.

In other words, barring anything catastrophic, Lindsay will be ready for the start of the 2019 season. He will, however, miss the Pro Bowl, and he’ll spend the bulk of his offseason resting and recovering from his injury.
Lindsay, an undrafted rookie, ran for 1,037 yards and nine touchdowns in an impressive debut season. Denver will hope that he makes a full recovery ahead of next season.
