Rashee Rice now being investigated for alleged assault at nightclub
Rashee Rice apparently can’t stay out of his own way.
WFAA in Texas reported Tuesday that the Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rice is being investigated for an alleged incident that took place at a nightclub in Dallas early on Monday. Rice has been accused of hitting a photographer at the club.
The report adds that police are currently interviewing witnesses about the alleged incident, which is said to have occurred at 609 N. Harwood Street (the address of the Lit Kitchen & Lounge).
The 24-year-old Rice, Kansas City’s second-round pick in last year’s draft, is already facing eight felony charges stemming from his role in a multi-vehicle crash that happened in March. Rice was allegedly racing another car down the freeway at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle, causing a crash that resulted in multiple injuries (see the video here). Rice and several others then fled the scene, leading to an arrest warrant being issued for Rice.
The former SMU star Rice has since turned himself in and been released, but he is also facing multiple civil lawsuits over the crash. Rice will likely receive discipline from the NFL as well (which the Chiefs believe could be significant). Now Rice has another brand-new legal issue to top it all off.
