Report: Hue Jackson will join Bengals’ coaching staff
Hue Jackson will not be out of coaching for long.
Jackson is set to join Marvin Lewis’ coaching staff in Cincinnati, according to a report. NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport shares the news but says it’s unclear what Jackson’s title will be.

Lewis just assumed defensive coordinator duties after the team fired Teryl Austin Monday. Jackson is an offensive coach, so it wouldn’t make much sense for him to take over as the defensive coordinator. However, having an assistant who has coached under Lewis for two separate stints, will probably help the team. Jackson coached under Lewis in Cincinnati from 2004-2006 and 2012-2015. He has served as a wide receivers coach, running backs coach, offensive coordinator, secondary coach, and special teams coach under Lewis.
Jackson was fired by the Browns after going 2-5-1 this season. He was 3-36-1 in his two-plus seasons as Cleveland’s head coach.
