One of the New York Giants’ top receivers sounds more than ready to ride with his new quarterback.
On Tuesday, several reporters confirmed that the Giants were signing Super Bowl-winning QB Russell Wilson. Details on Wilson’s pact with the Giants can be found here.
Veteran wide receiver Darius Slayton went on social media to react to the signing. He expressed his support for Wilson in the most fitting way possible.

“Giants country…..Lets [sic] Ride,” wrote Slayton.

The post was an homage to Wilson’s message to the Denver Broncos fan base when he first joined their team in 2022.
“Broncos Country, let’s ride!” Wilson said in a now-infamous video in front of a green screen.
Broncos Country only rode with Russ for so long. The 10-time Pro Bowler spent just two seasons in Denver before moving on to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers last season.
Wilson had a decent start to his Steelers career. He won six of his first seven games to help push Pittsburgh into the playoff picture. But Wilson underperformed later in the season, losing his final five games in a Steelers uniform, including the team’s 28-14 Wild Card round loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
Perhaps the third time will be the charm for Wilson, who is now on his third team since his decade-long run with the Seattle Seahawks.
While Slayton sounds ready for the Wilson experience, the Giants’ fan base does not. Several Giants supporters shared a similar gripe about the Wilson signing.
