A bum knee apparently isn’t going to stop New York Jets quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick from attempting to suit up in Week 10.
According to a report by Ed Werder of ESPN on Tuesday, Fitzpatrick, who is dealing with an MCL sprain in his left knee, believes he’ll start on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams. Should Fitzpatrick not be able to go however, the Jets and head coach Todd Bowles will roll with backup Bryce Petty.

Fitzpatrick, who was diagnosed with the sprain on Monday, is in the midst of a poor season, throwing for just 1,982 yards and eight touchdowns with 13 interceptions in nine games this year. This franchise legend thinks that Petty should be the one starting either way. But as long as Fitzpatrick is healthy enough to be under center, the 3-6 Jets appear for now to be content with dying on Fitzpatrick Hill.
