Saints now 13-1 in games officiated by referee Carl Cheffers’ crew
Officiating tends to be an issue in games at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, but on Sunday night, the Saints’ result with Carl Cheffers’ crew came out in their favor once again.
The Saints beat the Dallas Cowboys 12-10 on “Sunday Night Football” and have now improved to 13-1 in games officiated by Cheffers’ crew. Sean Payton made note of that stat prior to the game, according to Jane Slater.
Reminder #Saints HC Sean Payton told us they are 12-1 with this officiating crew since 2006.

The Saints actually were penalized in the game more than the Cowboys. New Orleans was called for nine penalties (80 yards) compared to six penalties (64 yards) for the Cowboys. Even Dez Bryant, who played most of his career for the Cowboys but was signed by the Saints last year, said he thought the officials were biased against the Saints.
I’m convinced the official got it out for the saints

Even with the extra penalties and perceived bias, the result under Cheffers worked in the Saints’ favor again.
The Saints are probably thrilled to be mentioned in a positive context with officials after what happened last season.
