Saints fans throw towels on field after loss to Vikings

New Orleans Saints fans have been subjected to a lot of playoff heartbreak in recent years, and their 26-20 overtime loss to the Minnesota Vikings was immensely frustrating for the Superdome crowd.
After Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph’s game-winning touchdown was confirmed, Saints fans began throwing their playoff towels on the field in protest and anger.

Much of the anger came from the fact that the fans felt Rudolph had pushed off on the game-winning touchdown. While that may have been true, we’ve seen enough of pass interference review to know that was never getting overturned. At this point, though, many Saints fans think the league has it in for them, so they’re going to feel like they got robbed. After all, these are some of the same people who tried to sue the NFL over what went down last year.
