Seahawks GM offers updates on status of Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny
Seattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider offered updates on the status of two of the team’s running backs.
Schneider was a guest on KJR with Softy and Dick Fain Thursday and was asked numerous questions about the team. He said KJ Wright had offseason shoulder surgery and is rehabbing. He also talked about Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny.
Schneider said that Carson would be ready to start the season.

Penny is likely to begin the season on the physically unable to perform list.
Schneider implies on @SportsRadioKJR
that Rashaad Penny will start season on PUP list as he recovers from ACL injury. That's usually a 9-10 month injury and he suffered it Dec. 8. Says "he's doing great but it was a late-season injury.''— Bob Condotta (@bcondotta) May 1, 2020
Carson suffered a fractured hip in a Week 16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals and did not need surgery. Penny suffered a torn ACL in a Week 14 loss to the Rams. Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said at the time that the injury was more than a normal ACL tear.
In addition to Penny and Carson, Seattle drafted DeeJay Dallas in the fourth round last weekend and still has CJ Prosise on the roster at running back.
