Steelers’ Roosevelt Nix celebrates fake punt despite being stopped short
Roosevelt Nix received a rude awakening after a fake punt against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were up 28-24 and had a 4th-and-5 at their 42 with under five minutes to go in the game. Pittsburgh tried a fake punt by snapping the ball to Nix, who fought some tacklers as he tried to rush for the first down.
Nix got closer to the marker but was ultimately tackled short. He failed to realize he was short and ran off to celebrate, pretending to drop the mic while his Steelers teammates also pointed for a first down.

Steelers' Roosevelt Nix REALLY thought he got the 1st down on that fake punt.

The Saints were given possession after Nix came up short and tried to take the lead.
