Stefon Diggs filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend Mulan Hernandez earlier this year, and the New England Patriots star is now facing troubling allegations in a countersuit.
In February, an attorney filed a lawsuit on behalf of Diggs in Harris County, Texas, that named Hernandez, whose real name is Mia Jones, and Brianna “Brii” Mack as defendants. Jones is more commonly known as Hernandez from her reality TV and influencer careers. The lawsuit included six counts alleging misconduct by the defendants, including the destruction of Diggs’ property. Diggs alleges that he was threatened with a deadly weapon and threatened with an extortion attempt for millions of dollars.
Hernandez was accused of destroying property and refusing to leave Diggs’ during a June 2024 incident. Diggs claimed to have been punched in the chest by Hernandez, who also allegedly threw punches at his head. You can read more details here.
According to new documents that were obtained by Us Weekly, Hernandez filed a countersuit against Diggs in April and accused him of assaulting her. The former “Basketball Wives Orlando” star says Diggs punched her in the back of the head with a closed fist during the June 2024 incident and then “almost immediately” made efforts to get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
Hernandez says her lawyer reached out to Diggs in November 2024 in an attempt to hold him accountable, which is likely the basis of what Diggs described in his lawsuit as an extortion attempt.
Hernandez, 24, says she was diagnosed with a concussion the day of the alleged assault. In the countersuit, she is seeking unspecified damages for her physical pain and mental suffering as well as medical bill reimbursement.
The 31-year-old Diggs is in his first season with the Patriots after signing a three-year, $69 million contract in free agency. He had 10 catches for 146 yards in a huge upset win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night.
Diggs is also facing a paternity lawsuit that was recently filed by an Instagram model. Diggs and rapper Cardi B are in a relationship and expecting a baby together.
