Tua Tagovailoa says he feels ‘100 percent’

Tua Tagovailoa

Tua Tagovailoa is trying to reassure interested teams about his health after undergoing hip surgery.

Tagovailoa told NFL Network on Wednesday that he is feeling 100 percent and believes he could play to his full capabilities right now.

“I feel 100 percent,” Tagovailoa said, via Steve Wyche of NFL Media. “I feel like if there was a game today, I’d be able to go out and perform the same way I was able to perform in previous years. I feel as mobile as possible. I feel 100 percent.”

The question is whether teams will agree with Tagovailoa’s self-assessment. Team doctors can’t examine him themselves, leaving organizations to rely on third parties for information on his status. It’s serious enough that some teams reportedly have him down their draft boards due to the uncertainty. If Tagovailoa is as healthy as he says he is, it could prove a mistake for those teams.
