Tyreek Hill helped fuel another wave of speculation about his future with some social media posts over the weekend, but it appears the Miami Dolphins star is already trying to backpedal.
Hill reignited trade rumors on Sunday night when he responded to a fan who asked Dolphins fans whether they would be open to the team trading Hill. The veteran wide receiver reacted to the question with a smiling face emoji.
Hill didn’t stop there. He then found a post from Over The Cap’s Jason Fitzgerald, who suggested Hill is a candidate to be traded during the NFL Draft. The eight-time Pro Bowl wideout reacted to that with a peace sign emoji. You can see the posts here.

Then on Monday, Hill seemed to change his tune. When an X account shared a report that claimed Hill would be open to the Dolphins trading him to a playoff contender, Tyreek had a simple four-word response.
“lol another false narrative,” Hill wrote on X.

Hill’s initial cryptic social media activity is the reason that the trade rumors resurfaced in the first place. If the latest narrative about him wanting out of Miami is false, he has only himself to blame.
Following the 2024 season, Hill seemed to demand a trade while venting his frustrations with the Dolphins. He later apologized and said he wants to remain with the team.
Hill had a difficult season last year both on and off the field. The year began with him being handcuffed on his way to Miami’s Week 1 game. The 31-year-old then had a down season by his own lofty standards with 81 catches for 959 yards and 6 touchdowns.
If the Dolphins were to make Hill available, there would likely be plenty of interest. As of now, Hill is making it seem like he does not want a trade. We know how quickly that can change.
