Report: Tyreek Hill is subject of battery investigation
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is the subject of a law enforcement investigation over alleged battery, according to a report.
According to Steve Vockrodt and Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star, a police report dated Thursday describes a battery incident with a juvenile victim. Listed under “others involved” is Crystal Espinal, Hill’s fiancee. A source told the newspaper that the juvenile in question is Hill’s and Espinal’s son, and the three-year-old ended up with a broken arm as a result.
“The club is aware of the investigation involving Tyreek Hill,” the Chiefs said in a statement. “We’re in the process of gathering information and have been in contact with the league and local authorities. We’ll have no further comment at this time.”
This would not be the first domestic incident involving Hill. He was kicked off the Oklahoma State football team stemming from a 2014 incident in which he punched and choked Espinal while she was eight weeks pregnant with the couple’s son, leading to three years of probation. It’s also not the first incident the Chiefs have had to manage, with Kareem Hunt’s assault video coming out less than six months ago.
