Victor Cruz suffered a major knee injury during the third quarter of Sunday night’s game between the Giants and Eagles, and it was so serious it had the wide receiver crying.
Cruz was going for a pass on 4th-and-goal with his team down 20-0 to the Eagles and had a step on his defender. He dropped what should have been a touchdown catch, but we quickly found out why — he suffered a major knee injury going for the ball.
Cruz went down to the ground and was screaming in pain. He was eventually carted off the field after receiving positive thoughts from players on both teams.
NBC reported that Cruz suffered a torn patellar tendon on the play.
