Paulina Gretzky slams trolls on behalf of Dustin Johnson
Dustin Johnson was one of a number of star athletes who chose to skip the Summer Olympics in Rio, and it doesn’t appear he is regretting his decision.
Over the weekend, Johnson shared a photo on Instagram that showed him enjoying some leisure time with his fiancee, Paulina Gretzky, on a boat. The post led to a number of comments from followers who believe Johnson should be ashamed of himself for skipping the Olympics.
Paulina was having none of that. After reading some of the criticism, she unloaded on the trolls and said Johnson worked his entire career to win a major championship, not a gold medal. Twitter user @MikePette captured a screenshot:
Dustin and Paulina always seem to enjoy their time together. You can see another example of that in this video. It’s certainly understandable that she grew tired of the criticism, though engaging the trolls only gives them what they want. Sometimes you just can’t help yourself.
