Scottie Scheffler took his baby son Bennett with him everywhere after winning PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler could not put down one thing after winning the PGA Championship on Sunday, and we’re not talking about the Wanamaker Trophy.

Scheffler celebrated his win at Quail Hollow with caddie Ted Smith on the course. Then he began to celebrate with his family, including his wife Meredith and son Bennett. Bennett was born on May 8, 2024, so this was the first major win for Scheffler since the birth of his son.

After winning and sharing a huge hug and some love with Meredith, Scheffler took his son and could not put him down. Scheffler even brought Bennett into the clubhouse with him to sign his scorecard and only put down the baby in order to sign his card.

Scottie Scheffler has become the best golfer since Tiger Woods, but I’d argue his example as a Christian, who loves his wife & embraces fatherhood, makes the biggest impact

The way Scottie has incorporated his son in his championship celebrations makes him a great role model.… pic.twitter.com/BmXouKjrGE

Fatherhood is working out well for Scheffler, and he is clearly proud of being a dad.

One hand for the scorecard, one for the baby. 🏆👶✍️

Scheffler won the tournament despite saying he didn’t have as good of a week of preparation as he would have wanted.

“It was a battle out there for four days,” Scheffler said in his post-tournament interview with CBS’ Amanda Balionis. “It was a real team effort out there.”

Scheffler still won the even with ease by five strokes at 11 under par. He shot 71, which was his worst score of the tournament, and he still won without any issues. He had a great message to his caddie after winning.
