Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki wedding date is not in August, contrary to report
Now that the Irish Independent can no longer sporadically report that Rory McIlroy and Caroline Wozniacki have ended their relationship, the publication has turned its attention toward trying to predict when the couple will tie the knot.
On Wednesday, the Independent cited “exclusive” sources who claim McIlroy and Wozniacki are getting married in late August.
“Rory is marrying Caroline in late August,” the insider explained. “They’ve only been engaged a few months, but they’re both keen to make it official and are a planning a spectacular day for guests. They’re keeping their invite list under wraps for now for security reasons because it includes some A-list superstars from around the world.”
Here’s what McIlroy had to say about the “inside” information.
I see the @Independent_ie have got it wrong…. AGAIN!!! If they keep plucking dates from the sky they'll get it right eventually haha!

McIlroy is 25 and Wozniacki is 23. They are both currently in the primes of their careers and don’t really need to rush to get married, though Wozniacki did previously state that she would like to be a young mother. Still, don’t count on an August wedding. The Independent doesn’t exactly have a good track record when it comes to its favorite power couple.
