It was a night of pain on Monday for the New York Rangers, and JT Miller can attest to that.
As the Rangers trailed the Ottawa Senators, 2-0, barely four minutes into the third period at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., Miller took a shot at the part where no man wants to get hit.
After Miller attempted to plaster Senators defenseman Artem Zub along the boards, Zub appeared to retaliate by swinging his stick and hitting Miller in a sensitive area. The 33-year-old Miller immediately collapsed to the ice but managed to get back up, while still in clear pain, as seen in the video here:

Zub was assessed a slashing penalty, sending him to the box for two minutes, but the Rangers failed to capitalize, going scoreless on the ensuing power play.
That was the story of the night for New York, which went 0-for-3 on the power play, but the real embarrassment came from taking just 9 shots on goal while Ottawa fired 33 in a 2-1 Rangers loss.
New York has now lost five games in a row, and it will try to snap its losing skid again on Wednesday, when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario. That means Miller will have Tuesday to rest what must be a sore body after that cheap shot from Zub.
