Chael Sonnen Mocks Arianny Celeste’s IQ

UFC fighter Chael Sonnen easily has one of the wackiest personalities in MMA. He doesn’t hold back when challenging opposing fighters, and he gets completely goofy in interviews like this one with TSN Canada. It’s that type of behavior that helped him become the host of the World MMA Awards that will air Wednesday.

In an interview with Las Vegas Weekly published Friday, Sonnen answered several questions regarding the awards show. This is the one that caused the fireworks:

Who are you pulling for in the Ring Girl of the year category?

We only had one and that was Chandella [Powell]. The other was the IQ card girl. Arianny [Celeste] kind of walks around and holds up her latest test score. One time when there was a title fight, she got all the way up to five and we were very proud of her.

Strong burn from Sonnen. Of course, Arianny wasn’t one to sit back and take the insult; she responded with a tweet (since deleted) to the fighter.

“Hey what’s ur name.. after @spideranderson kicks your ass..u won’t even be able to count to 5!! Get ready to kiss brazils ass!”

Sonnen wrote back in a tweet that has also been deleted.

“Seems easy to wear a bikini and seems easy to walk in a circle, but try walking in a circle while wearing a bikini. Talented girl!”

Arianny has won the last three Ring Girl of the Year awards and could be on her way to a fourth straight honor this Wednesday. She better not win too many more, because according to Chael, she won’t be able to count that high.
