Just last week, Cutler opened up about being single on his “Uncut with Jay Cutler” podcast. He said he has been using dating apps but explained why being on the open market is so much more challenging for him now.
Cutler and Cavallari began dating in 2010. They got married in 2013 and have three children together.
This wouldn’t be strange if not for the context. Since announcing their plans to divorce, there have been some rather unsavory stories about Cutler that have made the rounds. Apparently he’s willing to ignore them or simply doesn’t care.
Cutler and Cavallari had been married for seven years prior to their decision to split up.
Jay Cutler and his wife Kristin Cavallari announced recently that they have decided to get a divorce, and it sounds like things between the two began to sour when Cutler chose football over broadcasting nearly three years ago.
Cavallari felt that Cutler had become “lazy” and “unmotivated” since his final season in the NFL back in 2017, according to a report from Page Six. One source indicated to the gossip outlet that Cavallari was bothered by Cutler leaving a job with FOX Sports to play for the Miami Dolphins.
“She was growing increasingly impatient with him. He was supposed to take this big job at FOX Sports and have a life after football that would get him up off the couch and do something,” the source said. “Instead, he backed out — this is [three] years ago — and joined the Dolphins. That didn’t pan out well, and he was left with no TV gig until she got the show for them.”
The source also said Cavallari “views herself as very polished and put together, and [Cutler as] this lazy, unmotivated guy.”
Cutler was probably underrated as a quarterback throughout much of his NFL career, and he did make more than $120 million. It’s probably hard to become passionate about something after you make that much money playing, though Cavallari thinking Cutler was “lazy” fits in perfectly with the Smokin’ Jay Cutler image.
Jay Cutler and wife Kristin Cavallari are getting a divorce, and things are starting to get ugly as they sort through things.
According to TMZ Sports, Cavallari had a legal filing on Wednesday in which she accused Cutler of refusing to leave their home and blocking her from getting funds to buy her own place.
The report states that Cavallari went looking for a home last fall but called it off when they decided to give the marriage a last chance. Unfortunately things did not work out with their marriage, and now she says Cutler will not give her the money for a new home. The two have three children together and are also trying to work on a custody agreement.
Cutler and Cavallari have been married for seven years and were together for for 10 years. They had some relationship problems early on when they called off their engagement, but they sorted out matters and got married. Unfortunately they are now getting a divorce and going through the ugly fighting that is all too common with these proceedings.
Former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler and his wife Kristin Cavallari announced on Sunday that they are in the process of getting a divorce.
Cutler and Cavallari both issued the same statement via their respective Instagram accounts, which said that they have “nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of.” The announcement indicates that the split is an amicable one.
Cutler and Cavallari began dating in 2010 and got engaged in 2011. They had relationship issues early on and called off their engagement at one point, but they got married in June of 2013 when Cutler was with the Chicago Bears. They have two sons and a daughter together.
Cutler has made frequent appearances on Cavallari’s reality TV series “Very Cavallari,” and the two became popular among fans for having a sense of humor about their relationship. It remains to be seen if any of the problems the couple was having will be featured on the show in the future.
Jay Cutler decided to leave a job with FOX Sports to continue his NFL career for at least another season, and it’s fair to wonder if his wife thinks he made the wrong choice.
Cutler left Sunday’s loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after he appeared to suffer a concussion. Prior to his exit, he threw three interceptions to give him nine picks in nine games this season. Somewhere around the time Cutler took a hit to the head, his wife Kristin Cavallari expressed her frustration with this “football s—” on Instagram:
Cutler has already suffered cracked ribs this season, so the concussion is just his latest injury. The $10 million the Dolphins are paying him probably helps dull the pain, but Cavallari has been open about expressing concern for her husband’s health in the past. It would not be a surprise if she is ready for Jay to hang up the cleats for good.
Free agent quarterback Jay Cutler and his wife are vacationing in Mexico, and NFL teams who are curious to know if Cutler has been keeping his glutes in shape can thank the lovely Kristin Cavallari for providing them with an update.
On Tuesday, Cutler’s better half shared a photo on Instagram that showed the former Chicago Bears quarterback in his birthday suit overlooking the ocean. Sorry, we had to blur it out a bit:
“Good times, no tan lines,” Cavallari wrote, attributing the quote to former NFL tight end Tony Scheffler. “Let the sea set you free.”
In a follow-up post, Cavallari joked that she wanted to show her followers the “unobstructed view” in case her photo of Smokin’ Jay’s backside gets taken down.
Cutler threw for 252 yards and a touchdown without turning the ball over. It was his first game back from a thumb injury suffered in Week 2.
There have been a lot of headlines surrounding Cutler’s future in Chicago after backup Brian Hoyer seemed to play well in Cutler’s absence. But with Hoyer out with injury, the Bears were forced to play Cutler at quarterback again, and he delivered a surprising victory on Monday.
