Hurdling a Defender 101

It’s been quite a while since we’ve hit you with some freak athleticism here on LBS, but this video almost makes it worth the wait.  Jumping over a defender can be dangerous and is usually not something that’s encouraged by a head coach, but when you can jump this high I say go for it.  Scope this video of Kentucky recruit Ashley Lowery hurdling a defender, courtesy of Sports Crackle Pop:

Lowery looks like Nate Robinson dunking over Dwight Howard.  The d-back was pretty much standing completely upright.  Maybe Calipari should consider getting in on the recruitment of this guy.
