New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton checked out 80s band The Molly Ringwalds Saturday evening in Dallas. He apparently visited with the band backstage and shared a story about drafting Mark Ingram. Specifically, he explained to the band how badly his son, Connor, wanted the team to draft him. I hadn’t previously heard of The Molly Ringwalds, but they’re pretty obviously into the 80s. They also seem to be pretty popular in the Southeast, playing gigs throughout Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, and Texas. And it appears as if Payton is a fan.
