Trayce Thompson home run gets stuck in Tropicana Field catwalk (Video)
During Tuesday’s game between the Dodgers and Rays, Trayce Thompson joined a unique list of players who have hit home runs at Tropicana Field.
In the top of the second inning, Thompson, who is the brother of Warriors guard Klay Thompson, launched a two-run shot off of Tampa Bay starting pitcher Matt Moore to give the Dodgers the lead.
The interesting part is the ball never came down. High above the field at Tropicana are four catwalks. According to the ground rules of the stadium, if the ball hits two of them (ring C or D) in fair territory a home run is awarded.
In the above video, fans can be seen looking up expecting the ball to come down. Even the Dodgers wondered where the ball went.

As Ken Gurnick of MLB.com adds, this is the sixth such instance in Tropicana Field history.
Thompson's home run hit the catwalk and did not come down, 6th time in Tropicana Park history.
