Blake Griffin’s ex in lawsuit: He had ‘toxic’ relationship with Clippers teammates

Blake Griffin is being sued by the mother of his chldren for allegedly abandoning her a week before the former couple was supposed to get married, and the lawsuit the woman filed also contains some juicy information about Griffin’s time with the Clippers.

TMZ reports that Brynn Cameron has filed a palimony lawsuit against Griffin, claiming he is a bad father who has been “cruelly embarrassing his family with his public fawning over Kendall Jenner.” Griffin and Cameron have two children together and were engaged, but Cameron says the star forward called off the wedding at the last second when he became enamored with Jenner.

The lawsuit, which was filed on Valentine’s Day, states that Griffin promised Cameron he would support her and the couple’s two children and convinced her to quit her sports marketing job. The documents include love letters from Griffin thanking Cameron for “all the sacrifices” she has made.

“Cameron was not just the mother of Griffin’s children and their caregiver, she was also a constant support for Griffin — his personal assistant, meal planner, scheduler, stylist, publicist, party planner, nurse, nutritionist, branding expert, therapist, cheerleader, basketball and fitness consultant, and more,” the lawsuit states.

Cameron claims she and her children have been left “homeless and cash-strapped” while Griffin continues to make millions with his NBA salary and endorsement deals. The suit does not state a specific amount of money she is seeking, but it is in the millions.

And there’s some basketball stuff in there, too. Cameron claims in the documents that she advised Griffin on how to be a better leader with the Clippers when he had “mounting tension with Chris Paul” and was not getting along with his teammates. Here’s more:

She continued, “Griffin struggled to be viewed as a leader for the Clippers while Chris Paul was such a vocal presence in the locker room and the media — and was better known for his drive to win and dedication to both team building and family values.”

Brynn says she counseled Griffin to lead in his own way “by setting a standard for hard work.”

She also claims she helped Blake with his communication skills — including how to speak with teammates and coaches when issues would arise.

“The relationship between Griffin and other teammates had become so toxic River had to mediate disputes in private meetings with the players.”

“Griffin did not know how to handle confrontations and would go silent when things did not go his way. To change that dynamic, Cameron would coach Griffin on how to communicate his issues.”

Griffin has been spotted hanging around Jenner a lot over the past several months, but they have never made their relationship official. While they could be just close friends, it’s also possible that Griffin has tried his best to keep his personal life under wraps because of the drama building with his ex.

As we learned after Griffin and Cameron had their first child together, Cameron also has a son with a former NFL quarterback.
