Oscar De La Hoya trolls Donald Trump ahead of fight
Oscar De La Hoya loves playing to Donald Trump.
De La Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions had a major fight card on Saturday night that was headlined by Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. The fight is between two Mexicans in Las Vegas, and it’s taking place on Cinco de Mayo weekend — a massive holiday weekend for Mexicans.
Hours before the main event, De La Hoya sent the following tweet saying he had two tickets saved for Trump. He also mocked Trump with a reference to the “bad hombres” line Trump used while campaigning for the presidency.
.@realDonaldTrump we got you 2 ringside tix to show you not all Mexicans are bad people. Although, these 2 are bad hombres #CaneloChavezJr pic.twitter.com/9G9pix67ou

Many Mexican-Americans have felt threatened by Trump’s presidency, due largely to his “bad hombres” comment as well as his border wall policy. You may recall last year that De La Hoya credited Trump for giving him an idea for his last Canelo fight.
