The real culprits are the school alums who demand winning records regardless of how they are obtained. The coach who recruits real student athletes and is moderately successful loses his job and gets no credit for sending college graduates forth into the world.

It is worth more to the alums to be able to brag that their hired hands beat their rival’s hired hands. It is truly a sad state of affairs.

Really? This is what I call innuendo and faulty deductive reasoning. Who needs an NCAA investigation when Larry Brown has actual, concrete. . .suspicions?

The Rose and apparently Memphis situation is delorable, but not all that shocking, given the demand by major universities for stellar athletes to fatten the schools’ bottom line and provide valuable air time for the school and the athletes. We as a public demand perfection in our own lives by any means necessary, and we onlycomplain about the excesses when we’re caught with out pants down.

We have ourselves to blame for boorish athletes and stars. We laugh at or call it “edgy” when so-called family tv is littered with swearing, sexual situations and violence, and then decry te fact that teachers cannot reverse the damage done by parents who worship the media gods and encourage their children to do so.

I’m guessing the fact Dozier actually graduated means nothing, while no proof whatsoever about Rose or Dozier’s SAT means Calipari cheated, right?
