Hubert Davis heartbroken after North Carolina loss
Former UNC guard and current Tar Heels assistant coach Hubert Davis was heartbroken after North Carolina lost the national championship game to Villanova on Monday night.
Davis was photographed with his hand over his face, crying after the 77-74 defeat:
Think the players are the only ones who take losses hard. Hubert Davis is hurting in the UNC locker room right now pic.twitter.com/NoeoDcL2l7

Hubert Davis has not moved since I got here. Hand on chin. Staring blankly. pic.twitter.com/BwaR0Mblx1

This is Davis’ fourth season as an assistant coach for UNC following a stint as a broadcaster at ESPN. There’s no way he felt anything close to this kind of pain when he was just an analyst.
And here we were thinking Brice Johnson’s reaction to the loss was tough. Brutal.
