Michigan Fans Buy Jim Tressel ‘Liar Liar, Vest on Fire’ Billboard

Things are looking up for the University of Michigan. Not only did they part ways with Rich Rodriguez and bring in a new coach, but their rival Ohio State is under fire for a tattoo-merchandise scandal. The most controversial part of the scandal is that Ohio State coach Jim Tressel covered up the violations committed by his players and lied about it to authorities. In light of this, some Michigan fans decided to take a shot at Tressel by purchasing this billboard on I-94:

That picture comes to us courtesy of Douglas Ray Williams on twitter via Kegs ‘N Eggs. If anything, I would consider it revenge for this billboard put up two years ago in Columbus. Whether it’s flyover airplanes or billboards, college football fans love tweaking their rivals. I can’t complain.

As for Tressel, we’re learning that lying to school officials is a pattern for him dating back to his Youngstown State days.

Yup, I think they’re doing it to feel better about themselves

It’s so funny to listen to all these OSU Buckeye bandwagon fans… Half of you sorry suckers refuse to admit, that before Tressel showed up on the scene… The Wolverines owned John Coopers sorry ass program… (10-1-1)… So all you young bandwagon Buckeyes talking all that crap, remember that… Yes OSU has owned Michigan the past 10 years, but apparently most of those wins were done by cheating… Nothing ever stays the same and the pendulum will swing BLUE again!!!

Cheating? Dem, you are obviously a MORON!!! UM got their butt kicked all those years by LOTS of teams, because they SUCKED!!! Remember that little game against Appalachian State? How did anything the OSU did affect that game, genius? And that was when you still had a coach (Carr) that understood UM football and won their last Championship – before they brought in Rich Rod. Yes Cooper couldn’t beat UM, but he kicked everyone else’s butt – look at his overall record, and then compare it to UM’s overall record under Rich Rod. It is MORONS like you that give UM football a bad name.

First of all you will not call me Moron… I’ve served in USMC for 6 years defending this great country we live in… Protecting asses like you that abuse their freedom of speech. Voice your opinion all day long, but don’t call people names of who you know nothing about… As far as UM football is concerned my comments are in fun… Keeping a perspective on what’s important in this chaotic world in which we live in… At the end of the day OSU/ U of M football is entertainment, it’s not war… I’ve been to war my friend, so chill out and enjoy the freedoms you have… What makes college football so great is everyone has opinions about their favorite teams and the various coaches that have coached those schools.. When you have to go to the lengths of calling fans of the game names, then you’ve crossed the line… Enjoy the great debate True_Football_fan

    comments.

Tattoos give you magic super powers, you didn’t know the True Football fan, no way the Buckeyes would have ever beat Michigan without the tattoo super powers!!!

well thanks for your “service” but I am not abusing my freedom of speech….but you were talking football performance, not war, and calling quite a few names yourself of people you don’t know. And what you put forward were some isolated facts which showed nothing but petty jealousy. So try being faithful to the facts, leatherneck. Enjoy the debate.

Lol, I totally forgot that part!! So the tat parlors in E. Lansing, South Bend, Utah, Oregon, Toledo, Champaign-Urbanna, State College, West Laffayette, Madison, Iowa City, Evanston, have been busy!! Maybe if they had some tat artists wander around during the hash bash they could turn things around

Too bad it wasn’t a Michigan fan. Check out http://mgoblog.com/content/tressel-billboard-not-our-fault. Apparently everyone in the media likes to assume things without figuring out the facts. Terrible reporting from media outlets who didn’t bother to find out the truth.

It sounds like Carroll is behind it, but just a facebook post from the kid doesn’t confirm it either.
