A Utah wide receiver is facing charges after he was accused of jumping on a police car and throwing items at a patrol building.
Cory Butler-Byrd, who was suspended last week for “personal issues,” is facing criminal mischief charges for a pair of incidents that took place recently.
According to Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune, court documents state that officers heard glass shattering and came outside of the patrol building to find Butler-Byrd preparing to throw a sign at the building. He admitted to throwing a piece of wood, and admitted to jumping on top of a patrol car that had a shattered back window and a dent in it.
Butler-Byrd faces a court date on September 13. He faces up to one year in jail for a class A misdemeanor, and as far as we know, did not say anything about the President while being arrested.
