That, my friends, looks like a clean break or dislocation. Georgia Southern cornerback Valdon Cooper appeared to suffer an incredibly gruesome finger injury during his team’s 45-14 loss to Georgia on Saturday afternoon. They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, and that phrase certainly applies here. There isn’t much commentary I can add to a finger that is pointing at a full 90-degree angle.
I don’t know what it is about the past week, but we have seen some nasty injuries all across the sports world. Between the MMA’s fighter’s gnarly broken toe, the UPenn quarterback’s fractured ankle and now Cooper’s jacked up finger, there have been more than enough bends and breaks this week to make your stomach turn.
