Mo’ne Davis has been the talk of the Little League World Series for many reasons. She’s talented, she’s the star player on a successful team, and she is a girl excelling while playing against the boys.
Among all the media attention she’s received, Davis’ most notable achievement was making it onto the cover of Sports Illustrated:

One thing that has stood out about Davis is her mental composure. She seems steady regardless of whether she has success or failure. In other words, she has the head of a champion. Just look at that picture at the top — Davis shows the eye of the tiger with her greenish-colored eyes before a huge game at Williamsport against Nevada.

Despite her great success thus far playing baseball, Davis’ goal is to play point guard for UConn’s women’s basketball team. She also doesn’t like comparisons to Jonathan Papelbon (both have similar mechanics) because he gives up runs.
