Even though 2008 is a lost cause (and I knew it would be heading into the year), excuse me if I am slightly excited about the Bengals’ first win of the season. About effing time. Anyway, I won’t subject you to too much Bengalism, but I do insist that you watch the following video — it’s Chad Johnson’s second touchdown catch in their win over the Jaguars. This has to be one of the top catches of the season and it’s a perfect example of the type of talent and concentration Ocho Cinco brings to the table. Let’s go to the videotape:

A few things to point out. Keeping in mind that I side with CJ in his struggle with the Bengals, I think it’s worth pointing out that the guy does not dance when his team is having a crap season. If there’s one pet peeve I have it’s players celebrating when their team is getting killed or sucking during a season. Secondly, Chad is a warm, emotional guy. You’ve seen it before based on the way he and T.J. Houshmandzadeh treat each other, and you just saw it there when he gave Marvin that little peck on the cheek. See, he’s really not so bad after all!
