Jerry Jones sends Manny Pacquiao handwritten letter of support

Manny Pacquiao Floyd Mayweather meme

Manny Pacquiao has received support from many parties leading up to his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Saturday, and one of the more notable well-wishes he received came from Jerry Jones.

The Dallas Cowboys owner has a history with Pac-Man and hosted two of the Filipino fighter’s bouts in 2010 when he opened up his new stadium in Arlington. Jones also tried to make a bid for this megafight, but since the terms were dictated by Mayweather, it ended up in Las Vegas.

Fast forward to Thursday and Jones, despite being busy with the NFL draft, still found time to write a note for Manny.

Here’s a look at the note via ESPN’s Dan Rafael:

The letter says:

Manny,

You are a credit to the sport of boxing. The way you conduct yourself speaks volumes about your character!

I’m so proud of you – you are very special.

Your fights at our stadium are points of pride for me.

Wishing you much success – good luck.

The Dallas Cowboys are in your corner!

Unlike other fan mail from randoms, this was special and was hand-delivered to Manny, who seemed to appreciate it.

Maybe Jerruh’s trying to grease up Pacquiao in an attempt to host the man’s next bout. Regardless, it’s a very thoughtful gesture from Jerruh. And for his next trick, Jones will attempt to acquire Adrian Peterson in a trade.
